Before you install

System requirements

Check that your computer is ready for Paydae Desktop.

Windows
64-bit Windows 10 version 1903 (build 18362) or later. The installer is for Intel/AMD x64 computers.
Memory
8 GB RAM recommended. Allow more for larger payrolls or other applications running alongside Paydae.
Storage
Allow 2 GB free for installation, prerequisites and updates, plus space for payroll records, documents and backups. An SSD is recommended.
Display
1366 × 768 or larger recommended at 100% scaling. Higher display scaling may need a higher resolution.
Runtime
Microsoft Edge WebView2 is required. Setup downloads it if missing, so internet access may be needed during installation. The .NET application runtime is included.
Connectivity
Ordinary local work does not require a continuous connection. Downloads and updates need an internet-connected device; activation depends on your beta licence.

Getting started

From download to first run

  1. Back up your workspace

    If you already use Paydae, make a recoverable workspace backup before updating.

  2. Run the Windows installer

    Open the downloaded .exe, review the licence and follow Setup. Allow any required WebView2 installation to finish.

  3. Complete your setup

    Open Paydae and follow onboarding. Review your licence status and payroll settings before using your own records.

Beta software

Explore carefully.

This is pre-release software. Keep recoverable backups, check payroll results independently and maintain a reliable fallback for payroll deadlines. Export the records you need before your beta licence ends.

Beta access has no software licence charge and ends 31 December 2026 at 23:59 (UTC+02:00), through the end of that minute. Paydae is proprietary software; a future paid licence requires your separate agreement.
